The trip started in October, 2015 and continued until December 2015.

This project is an ongoing effort to aid refugees in other countries as the crisis expands to a global dilemma.

zimbabwe-race-to-successJuly 26-31st, GOL and Forward Sports hosted a 2k and 4k run in Mutoko, Zimbabwe to raise awareness and funds to help the orphans who are living at the Mother of Peace Orphan Home. Orphans of Mutoko are now able to go to school and finish their semester with food and shelter to carry on a healthy life.

hi-54-hiGOL, and PEYORG hosted a hygiene and sanitation campaign to six Schools in villages outside of Elmina District in Ghana.

Donations of hygiene kits which consisted of toothbrushes, toothpastes, and hand soap were given to over 1,200 primary school students in the six institutions that GOL members and volunteers visited.


In April of 2015, GOL Volunteers worked alongside the American Red Cross, Columbia Missouri Fire Department, Americorps and the Mizzou Red Cross club to provide fire education to the residents of Missouri and allow for a safer local neighborhood.

disaster-assistance-response-teamdartGOL and student union organization of the University of Missouri, Columbia attended a Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) workhop conducted by Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA).

Volunteers attended to train and get certified in emergency response, where they were eligible to travel for free to disaster sites and apply their newly acquired skills to aid others.
